Bollineni College of Nursing founded in 2002 by Bollineni Krishnaiah Charitable Trust with the moto of Discipline service and devotion. Bollineni College of Nursing has permitted by Government of Andhra pradesh and approved by Andhra Pradesh Nursing Midwives Council, & Indian Nursing Council file no. 18 – 917/2002 and affiliated to Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada.
Bollineni College of Nursing is located with 8.25 acre with total built up area of 1,22,972 square feet academic and hostel block in Dhanalakshmipuram, Nellore.

The intention behind starting the institution is to take up the task of imparting quality nursing education to eligible candidates from various parts of Nellore and other neighbouring districts and states. The training programmes aim to equip committed student with the latest techniques, develop their decision making abilities as well as instill in them a resolute approach to productivity, excellence, innovation and concern for others.
Bollineni College of Nursing believes that: Nursing is based on values of caring. It helps individuals to attain the ability to lead productive lives and be economically independent. It enables the practitioners to render the nursing care with respect and dignity and protects the rights of individuals and groups. Nursing appreciates National Health Goals and is committed to participate in the implementation of National Health Policies and Programmes.
The Nursing programme is broad based education within an academic framework specially directed to the development of critical thinking skills, competencies and standards required for the practice of professional nursing and midwifery. The students become exemplary citizens by adhering to a code of ethics and professional conduct at all times in fulfilling personal, social and professional obligations.

AIMS

• To prepare graduates to assume responsibilities as competent nurses in providing promotive, preventive, curative and rehabilitative services.
• To prepare nurses who can make independent decisions in hospital nursing services, community nursing services and nursing educational institutions.
• To prepare nurses to assume the role of a teacher, supervisor and manager in clinical, educational and public health settings.
• To Prepare graduates to assume responsibilities as nurse specialists, consultants, educators, administrators in a wide variety of professional settings.
• To aware of moral and ethical values and practices them in personal and professional life.
• To work collaboratively with members of allied disciplines and community towards attaining optimum health for all the members of the society.
• To create and foster leadership quality and decision-making abilities in various situations.

Objectives
     On completion of the four year B.Sc. (N) programme, the graduate will be able to:

• Apply knowledge form physical, biological and behaviourial sciences, medicine including alternative systems and nursing in providing nursing care to individuals, families and communities.
• Demostrate understanding of the factors which affect the health of the individuals and critical thinking skills in providing quality care.
• Utilize the latest trends and technology in providing health care within the framework of a code of ethics, with professional conduct and acceptable standards of practice within the legal boundaries.
• Communicate effectively with individuals and groups in order to promote effective interpersonal relationships and teamwork.
• Demonstrate skills in teaching to individuals and groups in educational, clinical and community health settings.
• Demonstrate leadership and managerial skills in all the settings.
• Conduct need based research studies and utilize the research findings to improve the quality of care.
• To maintain a centre of excellence for the pursuit of higher studies in nursing and act as a pace-setting institution to strive to give direction to nursing, to serve better to the contemporary and future
• needs of nursing development.
