AMU cutoff 2022 will be based on the scores obtained in CUET UG 2022 for UG programs. The students seeking admission to the University must meet the cutoff criteria in NEET for MBBS, BDS, NEET PG for MS/ MD/ PG Diploma, and NEET MDS for MDS. According to the AMU placement 2022 NIRF report, AMU has witnessed a tremendous placement spike. During the 2022 AMU placement drive 48 candidates from engineering and MCA were placed in reputed IT companies. As per the 2022 NIRF report, the undergraduate department at Aligarh Muslim University noticed an overall placement increment of 518% in 2021 compared to 2020. 

The university has successfully placed 1,228 students out of 5,595 students and the median package offered ranged from INR 3 LPA to INR 10.2 LPA. The university has also witnessed an increase in the median salary by 12.5% in the engineering and architecture department. The Aligarh Muslim University placement activities are conducted by the placement cell, which has a vision of delivering career opportunities and industry skills to deserving students.  Placement Cell

The Aligarh Muslim University placement cell has a vision of transforming students and helping them in becoming better industrialists. The placement cell aims at offering meaningful career opportunities to deserving students. The placement cell focuses on developing soft skills and providing industry knowledge to students under expert supervision. The cell conducts various training and learning sessions before the final placement rounds. 

Placement Process

The AMU placement cell conducts placement drives annually and conducts written assignments, debates, group discussions sessions, pre-placement talks, and interviews according to the needs of recruiting companies.

• The placement cell at the university sends invitations to the recruiting organizations, or the companies contact the cell directly.
• The companies must fill out the Job Description, and the concerned departments will be intimated at the institute.
• After consulting the companies, the training and placement cell decides and finalizes the date for pre-placement talks.
• The placement schedule is agreed upon once the pre-placement negotiations are concluded.

Scholarship

Aligarh Muslim University offers scholarships to students based on their academic performance and financial background. Candidates must meet the eligibility criteria set by the college to avail the scholarship facility. Further details about the AMU scholarships are mentioned below.

UP Government Scholarship: The scholarship is offered to students belonging to UP state. Students whose annual household income is less than Rs 2 lakh per annum (in the case of OBC minority and General). For SC/ST students, the income should not exceed more than 1.5 lakh per annum. Aligarh Muslim University scholarship will not be given to more than two students from a family, and migration of students from one school or institute to another is not allowed for renewal.

Donor Scholarship: The merit-cum-means scholarship offers a lump-sum amount of Rs. 10,000 to MBBS Muslim students.

Saifi Education Scholarship: AMU Saifi Education Trust offers scholarships for the financial help of poor and deserving students. Every year, AMU Aligarh offers scholarships to hundreds of students. 

Bharat Seva Trust Scholarship: Applications are invited on the prescribed proforma from the bright students (consistently 70% of marks throughout) studying in engineering/ law/ management agriculture sciences faculties. Students who receive Bharat Sewa Trust Scholarship and have not completed one course can apply for the renewal of the AMU scholarship.
