ABOUT US

Introduction

The SJM Vidyapeetha started Basaveshwara Medical College in the backward district of Chitradurga, to reach medical education to the unreached in particular and the development of this backward region in general, in the years 2001-02. Today it is a full-fledged college with required physical and human infrastructure as required by the Medical Council of India and Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. The Hospital, including the urban and rural health centers, is developed not merely with the intention to provide teaching material to students but also with the social commitment of providing health care to the common folk of the district. It is the only medical college functioning in the entire district. Students from all parts of the country are undergoing medical education imparted on spiritual and moral bases.

Admission Procedure

  • Candidates need to have passed the [10+2] qualifying examination with the appropriate stream from a recognized Institution/ Board.

  • Eligible candidates also need to have a valid score in NEET-2023.

  • Minimum age requirement for a candidate to be admitted to the First Year of M.B.B.S. Degree Course is  17 years on or before 31st December of the year of Admission to the Course.

Cut-Offs
