About Us

Bel-Air founded by Dr Rustomji Billimoria in 1912 is a 240-bedded hospital now internationally recognized for its contribution in responding to the emerging challenges in the health care scenario in India. Bel-Air College of Nursing at Panchgani, was established with the motto “Service and care with Love” in the year 2006.We endeavour to inspire and empower our students to be lifelong learners, critical thinkers of an everchanging health care industry.

Scholarships:-

Various scholarships are made available for meritorious students.

For B.Sc and M.Sc Nursing

  • LILA Poonawalla foundation offers annual scholarship upto Rs.80000/- for meritorious students.
  • Students from minority communities are eligible for scholarship upto Rs 32000/- per year as per the applicable government of India schemes.
  • Students from the SC/ST/NT are eligible for scholarship upto Rs 60000 per year as per the applicable norms of Department of Social Welfare, Government of Maharashtra.
  • Indian red cross Society and MUHS offer scholarship to students in Bel-Air.
  • There are also scholarships from Dosabhai Goderej – Naoroji and Nithya Foundation.

Basic B. Sc Nursing

  • The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on 31st December of the year in which admission is sought.
  • Minimum education:
    • 10+2 class passed with Science (PCB) & English Core/English Elective with aggregate of 45% marks from recognized board under AISSCE/CBSE/ICSE/SSCE/HSCE or other equivalent Board.
  • Student shall be medically fit.
  • Student shall be admitted once in a year.
  • NEET examination
  • As per applicable time to time orders from Government of Maharashtra / Admission Regulating authority / MUHS/ MNC/ INC

Intake : 40

RANM

  • The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on or before 31st December of the year in which admission is sought.
  • The maximum age for admission shall be 35 years.
  • The minimum educational requirements shall be 10 + 2 in Arts (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Economics, Political Science, History, Geography, Business Studies, Accountancy, Home Science, Sociology, Psychology, and Philosophy) and English Core/English Elective or Science or Health care Science - Vocational stream ONLY passing out from recognized Board.
  • Student shall be medically fit.
  • Students qualified in 10+2 Arts or Science examination conducted by National Institute of Open School.
  • Student shall be admitted once in a year.
  • As per applicable time to time orders from Government of Maharashtra / Admission Regulating authority / MNC/ INC

Intake : 30 

M. Sc Nursing - course Discontinued                                                 No Admission 

The height of the achievements in the current year is inauguration of Masters programme in HIV/AIDS - Syllabus of which was developed by Bel-Air College of Nursing and UIC and got approved by INC and MUHS.

  • The candidate should be a Registered Nurse and Registered midwife or equivalent with any State Nursing Registration Council.
  • The Minimum education requirements shall be the passing of: B.Sc. Nursing/B.Sc. Hons. Nursing/Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing with minimum of 55% aggregate marks.
  • The candidate should have undergone in B.Sc. Nursing / B.Sc. Hons. Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing.
  • Minimum one year of work experience after Basic B.Sc. Nursing.
  • Minimum one year of work experience prior or after Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing.
  • As per applicable time to time orders from Government of Maharashtra / Admission Regulating authority / MUHS/ MNC/ INC

Placement:-

PLACEMENT SERVICES

Bel-Air has an attractive placement scheme with one of the most reputed hospital in the country, Breach Candy hospital, Bhatia Hospital in addition to the available placement in Bel-Air hospital, College of Nursing and in some other hospitals. Meritorious students may be offered job placement with attractive salary after successful completion of the degree and on request.
RANMs are placed with NRHM or with socially oriented health projects with reasonable salaries.
