 (Formerly known as Sri Jagannath Institute of Medical Science & Research) has come into existence with a noble vision to develop the art for complete health services, care of the sick, physical, social, health education to the individual’s family and to the society as a whole for the prevention of diseases and promotion of health. Service to the mankind is the primary duties of nurses. Hence nurses should have the responsibility towards building the healthy society. Keeping in view to the present health scenario and in order to equip the youths accordingly, young girls in particular, who are considered to the best media to promote health services, Capital Academy of Nursing has undertaken education and training in the field of nursing and looking forward to expand the horizon in career building of the stud----

Course offered:-

B.SC. NURSING

  • Duration:- 4 years
  • Intake Capacity:- 100
  • Selection Procedure:Seats are filled through Central Counseling, conducted by Govt. of Odisha. Selection of candidates is made on the basis of merit according to the marks secured in 10+2 Science or equivalent examination.

Eligibility:

  • The candidates must be minimum 17 years of age as on31.12.2022. The maximum age limit for admission shall be 35 years.
  • The candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Science (Physics, Chemistry & Biology) from CHSE, Odisha or any other Board or Council or University equivalent thereof.
  • The candidates passed 10+2 examination in Science (Physics, Chemistry & Biology), conducted by National Institute of Open School are also eligible toapply.
  • The candidates must have passed in the subject of PCB & English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks taken together in PCB at the qualifying examination i.e. (10+2). In case of candidates belonging to SC/ST, the marks obtained in PCB taken together in qualifying examination shall be 40%. English is a compulsory subject in 10+2 for being eligible for admission to B.Sc. Nursing Course.
  • The candidates must have passed minimum M.E standard Odia. (Only for Govt. Institutions & 85% Govt. quota seats in Private Institutions).
  • The candidates must be a domicile / permanent resident / native of Odisha but currently residing outside Odisha. (Only for Govt. Institutions & 85% Govt. quota seats in Private Institutions).

Both female / male candidates are eligible to apply

POST BASIC B.SC. NURSING

Duration:-2 Years
Intake Capacity: 90 Seats
Selection Procedure:- For Govt. Quota, selection is made on the basis of appearing the Entrance Test conducted by the Govt. and after qualifying, the candidate has to face the Central Counselling of Govt.

Eligibility:

  • The candidate must be a domicile of Odisha /permanent resident of Odisha / native of Odisha(applicable to candidates taking admission in central counselingonly).
  • The candidate must be a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife of ONMRC or equivalent to any other state nursing council.
  • A candidate if has registered his/her name in other State Nursing Council, will be allowed to participate in the state selection process and after admission the selected candidate have to get registered under NMRC and submit their reciprocal registration certificate at the respective college within three months from the last date of admission.
  • The minimum educational requirements shall be the passing of General Nursing & Midwiferyexamination conducted by ON&MEB Odisha or equivalent thereof.
  • In case the selected candidate fails to produce the reciprocal registration certificate within the stipulated period the necessary action as deemed fit will be taken by the State Nursing Selection Committee, Odisha.
  • Candidate shall be medically fit for the course (Medical certificate format in annexure-V).
  • The in-service candidates must have obtained a “No objection Certificate” from concerned appointing authority. If any candidate is unable to get their No Objection Certificate from the concerned appointing authority on or before last date of submission of online application form, he/she can upload the copy of the application submitted to the authority for issue of No Objection Certificate (NOC format in annexure –VIII). But if the candidate does not obtain the NOC at the time of reporting in institutions the admission shall be rejected and the seat will be treated as vacant for special round counseling.
