Introducton

Dr. B.C. Roy Engineering College, Durgapur, popularly known as BCREC, was set up on 21st August, 2000, under the over all management of Dr. B.C. Roy Engineering College Society. Born of a vision of a group of Durgapur based philanthropic entrepreneurs, the institute is dedicated to the memory of Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy, the architect of modern West Bengal and BCREC management is deeply committed to gradually build the college as one of the best seats of Engineering and Management  Education in Eastern India with domestic and global requirements in view.

Dr. B.C. Roy Engineering College, Durgapur was affiliated to the University of Burdwan for the students admitted in 2000-01 session. But from 2001-2002 session onwards the college was affiliated to the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT). The college is  approved by both All India Council for Technical Education (AICT----

Dr. B C Roy Engineering College is a private engineering college in Durgapur named after the renowned physician of the same name. It is located in the Paschim Bardhaman district, around 200 km from Kolkata. The college was established on 21st August 2000. The college is affiliated to the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology. The college aims to create an ideal ambiance for learning and growth. Admission to the Dr. BC Roy Engineering College is conducted online and through the counseling offered by the common entrance test. All applicants should register themselves for both the common entrance test portal and the college admission portal. The admission fee is based on the BCREC fee structure. 

  • All applicants must register themselves on the admission portal using a valid mobile number. 
  • After logging in to the admission portal, applicants must fill out the entire application form.

Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme (TFW)-
The scholarships are available for economically backward meritorious students of UG level engineering course. Selection of students are decided on the basis of merit cum means by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination.

Scholarship 2

West Bengal Financial Scheme (WBFS)-
The scholarships are available for economically backward meritorious students of UG level engineering course. The students are selected by the college on the basis of merit and means of the students.

  • Students having 60% in 10th and 12th class and scoring 50% in the graduation program can avail scholarship scheme waiver for the MBA course.
  • Candidates who have qualified in GATE are eligible for the scholarship.
  • Waiver of 10% on the tuition fee is offered for the candidates who are willing to pay the entire course fee at a time during the execution.
