General Nurse Midwifery (GNM)
3-year diploma

GNM is a 3-year diploma in General Nurse Midwifery. The course focus on providing care to individuals, families, and communities.

M.Sc Nursing is a postgraduate course in theories and principles of Nursing and Allied Sciences. The course provides knowledge of various specializations within Nursing. A candidate has to be a B.Sc. /B.Sc. (Hons) graduate in Nursing from a recognized university in order to be eligible for this course.

    B.Sc Nursing is a full-time degree course that involves the study of nursing education and research. Every medical/ hospital unit requires the assistance of a Nurse. Hence it is no surprise that the employment opportunities for nurses would never end.

    Eligibility Criteria of the B.Sc (Nursing)

    • Eligibility will be as per the prospectus of PPMET to be issued by Baba Farid University of Health science, Faridkot or as per Punjab Government Notification.
    • Female or Male candidates seeking admission must have an age of 17 years and must not be older than 35 years as on the 31st day of December of the Year of seeking admission in bachelor of Nursing.

    Academic Qualification:

    1. Successful completion of the 10+2 level of education, from a recognized Educational Board.
    2. A minimum aggregate score of 50% (45% for SC/ST candidates) at the 10+2 level.
    3. Candidates must have science subjects in their 10+2 education.
    4. Candidate will produce character certificate, certificate of fitness and affidavit justifying the gap (if any during the study).

    Fee and other charges

    • A fee shall be charged as per Punjab government notification from time to time under the fixation Regulation Act 2006. Other college charges are also applicable like registration, examination, hostel charges etc.

    Scholarship is available for merited and needy students

    • Note: Fee and other charges once paid are not refundable, except if the candidate changes the college through the university as an approved migration (Re counseling). Your fees will be refunded after deducting the administrative charges for these migrations.

    Examination

    • The annual examination each year shall ordinarily be held in the month of May/June as may be fixed by the university. For failed/ re-appeared candidates, the supplementary examination shall be held in the month of November/December on other dates as may be fixed by the University. To appear for the annual examination candidate must have the following:
    •  Has been all the college Rolls for one academic year to sending the examination.
    •  Satisfactory behavior and good character.
    • Having attended not less than 80% attendance( irrespective of the kind of absent) in the theory and 90% in clinical practice in each subject for appearing for the examination.
    • Candidate must have hundred percent it tenders( including 20 days summer vacation, 10 days winter vacation and 10 days sick leave) in each clinical practice areas before and award of the degree.
    • A no due certificate issue from the department such as account, a count lie, lab, Office is compulsory.

    Note

    • The Principal has the authority of not issuing the Roll Number to the student for appearing in the final examination on the basis of non-completion of any of the above criterion.
    Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing
    2-year undergraduate program

    Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing is a 2- year undergraduate program for candidates interested in the field of Nursing. Nurses are healthcare professionals who are trained in taking care of patients, treating them, and assisting doctors in treatment and surgery. A qualified RN (Registered Nurse) is capable of administering preventive, promotive, curative, and rehabilitative services to patients and communities at large.
    Nursing, beyond a profession, is an opportunity to serve and treat patients and is thus directly related to social change and impact. The INC (Indian Nursing Council) is the authorized body that governs all aspects of nursing education in India. The course follows the syllabus prescribed by the INC.
    Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing (P.B.B.Sc.) program is a holistic mix of classroom lectures and hands-on practical sessions. The broad objectives of this program are to:

    M.Sc Nursing

    M.Sc Nursing is a postgraduate course in theories and principles of Nursing and Allied Sciences. The course provides knowledge of various specializations within Nursing. A candidate has to be a B.Sc. /B.Sc. (Hons) graduate in Nursing from a recognized university in order to be eligible for this course.
    M.Sc Nursing is a two-year program which specializes in many branches; for example Obstetrics and Gynaecology Nursing. The mode of admission is mostly through Entrance Examination or through marks obtained in qualifying examination and personal interview.

    Eligibility Criteria of the M.Sc (Nursing)
