East West Education Institute, is an altruistic initiative of East West Model School Education Society which has already made a significant contribution in the health care system of Burdwan and its adjoining areas. The expansion of health care facilities, growing complexity and advancement of medical technology have substantially enhanced the requirement of nurses. It is worth mentionable here that expansion of medical facilities through privatization has created a great demand for GNM and B.Sc Nursing courses through which medical care can be supported in a better way. So certainly, the venture of this Nursing College and School will expand the scope of women for joining a noble profession of nursing. The Nursing College and School has commenced its first session from August/September 2020. The paramedical College was established in the year 2021 and waiting for its beginning. Eligibility Criteria for Nursing

  • Age: Between 17-27 years on 01.01.of that Year.
  • Minimum Educational Qualification : Passed Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) preferably with Science stream from West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or or passed equivalent Exam from any recognized Council / Board with at least 50% marks in aggregate (without the marks of Environmental Science) and preferably 40% in English separately.
  • Candidates from vocational streams at any open school will not be accepted.
  • Candidates must be able to read , write and express in Bengali and English.
  • The candidates must be a citizen of India and a permanent resident of West Bengal for at least 5 years uninterruptedly on the date of application.
  • The candidate should be medically fit : The candidate will not be admitted, if she is found medically unfit. the following Examination are to be done at EWEI (East West Education Institute) before admission (i) Physical Examination by a (Registered) medical practitioner , (ii) Chest x – ray PA view, (iii) Routine examination of Blood, urine and stool, (iv) Blood group & RH factor, (v) Eye testing.
  • Only female Unmarried /Widow /Divorce can apply for the course.
  • Course is fully residential.

  • Passport size , recent colored photo – 4 such (name to be written in backside)
  • Self attested photocopy of mark sheet of H.S Exam / Equivalent Exam.
  • Age proof certificate : self attested photocopy of admit card / certificate of Madhyamik Exam./Equivalent exam board / council , where date of birth of candidate is motioned.
  • Original copy of residential certificate : to be issued by a local (where the candidate resides ) sabhapati of zilla parishad / sabhapati of panchayat samiti /pradhan of gram panchayat / mayor or councilor of municipal corporation / chairman of municipality / ward councilor of municipality /MP/MLA.
  • Domicile Certificate issued by Appropriate Authority
  • Candidates from SC/ST/OBC category must submit her own caste certificate issued by district magistrate / sub – divisional officer.
  • Documents for proof of widow / devorce has to be submitted.
