PG Admission Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for MTech and MSc courses are based on the following factors.

• The eligibility criteria for IIT Jodhpur MTech admission 2023 involve having minimum aggregate marks in the past academic records and having a valid GATE score as specified below.
• The candidate must have a 4-year bachelor’s degree in science/ engineering/ a master’s degree in MCA, science, pharmacy, medical sciences, veterinary sciences, and agricultural sciences or a related field.

• Candidates having a B.Tech degree in a relevant field from any of the CFTIs with CPI or CGPA 8/ 10 or above are exempted from the requirement of having a valid GATE score.
• The candidates have to appear and qualify for the JAM examination for MSc admission.
• The candidate must hold a bachelor's degree with compulsory subjects such as chemistry/ mathematics/ physics.
• At least 55% aggregate or 6 CGPA is required in the qualifying degrees for General/ OBC candidates. (50% marks or 5.5 CGPA for SC/ ST candidates).
• A candidate having a graduate degree in academic disciplines of humanities, basic sciences social sciences with at least 60% marks is eligible.

MSC-MTECH ADMISSION 2023

IIT Jodhpur dual degree program offers M.Sc-M.Tech for four years of duration. The candidates must meet the eligibility criteria for admission to the dual degree programs. The institute offers two specializations as listed below.

MSc-MTech Admission Eligibility Criteria

• The candidate must have qualified JAM to be considered for admission in M.Sc-M.Tech dual degree program. Students having 8.0 CPI or above are eligible for assistantship during M.Tech.
• Admission is offered based on past academic records and scores in the all-India examination Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM) conducted by the Indian Institutes of Technology and the Indian Institute of Science.

MTECH-PHD ADMISSION 2023

• Relaxation of 5% is provided to SC/ ST/ PD candidates.

PhD (Sponsored/ External/ Part-time) Eligibility Criteria 

• The candidates shall not be full-time or part-time employed in any organization or a registered student in any other academic program in India or abroad.
• A master’s degree in pharmacy, engineering, science, agricultural science, social sciences, humanities, or management is required with a minimum of 60% is required for General/ EWS/ OBC candidates or,
