Admission Procedure

Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education offers various UG, PG and Ph.D programs. Under UG program it offers B.Tech, B.Arch, B.Sc, B.Com, BA, BBA, B.Voc and BCA. Under PG program, KARE offers M.Tech, MBA, MA, M.Sc, MSW, M.Arch and MCA. It also offers Ph.D and M.Phil programs in various streams as the Research department of the University.

Admission to B.Tech and B.Arch program is done through KUEE and NATA scores respectively. For M.Tech, GATE/ KUEE scores are accepted. Rest of the programs consider candidates’ scores of the qualifying examintion. Based on the merit, selection is been conducted. 

KUEE or Kalasalingam University Entrance Test is an entrance test conducted by the university itself for admission into above mentioned programs. Inspite of this, nationalised test scores for the programs are also considered.

Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education UG Admission 2023

The university offers UG courses in the field of Technical, Architecture, Science, Commerce, Arts, Business Administration and Computer Applications. Additionally, the students can opt for Bachelor of Vocational degree which has three specializations -  Maintenance of Electronics and Communication Equipments, Medical Lab Technology and Software Development.

The duration for all courses is 3 years except B.Tech which is of 4 years and B.Arch which is of 5 years. Lateral entry admission in B.Tech is also applicable for the eligible candidates.

• Admissions to the B.Tech. programme will be based on the results of the Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education Entrance Examination (KUEE), generally conducted in the month of May / June of that year by the University.
• For lateral entry in B.Tech, eligible candidates need to go through an entrance examination conducted by the University and the selection is done on the basis of merit.
• For B.Arch admission, the candidates must score merit marks in the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) examination conducted by CoA. The admission is done on the basis of NATA exam scores along with higher secondary marks.
• Admission for rest of the courses is done on the basis of merit marks scored in the qualifying examination.

Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education PG Admission 2023

The university runs PG course same as UG fields namely - Technical, Architecture, Science, Commerce, Arts, Business Administration and Computer Applications. Additionally, students can also pursue for Master of Social Work (MSW) course.

The duration for all courses is 2 years except M.C.A which is of 3 years. The university also offers lateral entry to the M.C.A courses which is of 2 years duration. 

The students looking forward to take admission in M.Tech needs to clear the Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education Entrance Examination (KUEE) or GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering).

Note:

Candidates with the below listed eligibility are exempted from the entrance examination for PG courses in the Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education:

• Candidates sponsored under Quality Improvement Programme (QIP) or other similar programmes.
• Candidates sponsored by the industries, established institutes / Research and Development organizations / National laboratories or other similar institutes.

Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education Ph.D Admission 2023

The university offers full time as well as part time Ph.D course to the eligible candidates in 19 different specialisations. The duration for Ph.D is minimum 3 years and maximum 6 years for full time course whereas for part time course, it is minimum 4 years and maximum 7 years. Additionally, the students can also go for a 1 year M.Phil course which has five different specialisation -  Mathematics, English, Physics, Chemistry and Biotechnology. Admission to the all the Engineering programs is done for those who have a Master’s degree in Engineering / Technology / Business Administration with distinction first class. They must have a minimum of 60% marks (CGPA 6.5) or equivalent (like M.Sc (Engineering) / M.S. by Research). 

For Ph.D/ M.Phil Admission into Humanities, Sciences and Languages, candidate must have Master’s degree with a minimum 60% in Sciences and 55% in Humanities / Social Sciences / Languages

Selection for each specialization, an entrance test and personal interview will be conducted by the Department Research Committee. This will be conducted between January to July every year. Based on the performance in the entrance test/interview, the successful candidates shall be shortlisted.

Step 2: Filling online application form

Login with your registration details send to your E-Mail / Mobile number. Provide all relevant details carefully, before submission.

Step 3: Photo & Signature Upload

• Photograph Image : Size should be between 10KB to 200 KB with the dimension of 3.5 CM X 4.5 CM.
• Signature Image : Size should be between 10KB to 200 KB with the dimension of 3.5 CM X 1.5 CM.

Step 4: Mode of payment

• Online mode through Netbanking / Credit / Debit card. - for General Candidates.
• DD Mode - Get ready with DD drawn in favour of 'Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education' payable at Rajapalayam.
• For Online mode (Net banking / Debit card / Credit card) there is no need to send the application form after the process of completion.
• DD Mode - It is mandatory to send the hard copy of the application form along with the Demand Draft (write your name and application no. on the reverse side of DD) to “The Dean Admissions, Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education, Anand Nagar, Krishnankoil -626126, Srivilliputtur(Via), Virudhunagar District, Tamilnadu, India.”

• B.Sc. (Agri & Horti)- Rs.600 (Online Mode) and Rs.650 (DD Mode)
• Arts (UG Programmes), B.Voc. Programmes – Rs.300 (Online Mode) and Rs.350 (DD Mode)
• NRI & Foreign (All Programmes) $50 - Usage of DD mode is preferred for NRI and Foreign candidates.

• May 31, 2023: NATA 2023 Phase 2 admit card released.
• May 10, 2023: TNEA 2023 registrations are ongoing for BE/ B.Tech programs. The last date to apply is June 4, 2023.
• April 19, 2023: The CUET UG exam will be conducted on May 21-31, 2023.

Kalasalingam University cut off 2021.
