Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences “Deemed To Be University”, Karad is located in Western Maharashtra, India against the background of mountains and valleys. The green, eco-friendly campus is spread over 57 acres and is well connected by rail, road & air.

The University is accredited by NAAC 'A+' grade and has been conferred with ISO 9001 : 2015 certification. The constituent faculties of the University include Medical, Dental, Physiotherapy, Nursing, Pharmacy and Biotechnology offering undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the respective faculties. It also runs Ph.D. programs and Post Doctoral Fellowships in various subjects.

Highlights:-

Established in 1982, the Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS Karad) is a deemed-to-be-university. The college is located in the Karad district of Maharashtra and has been approved by the UGC, the MCI, the NABL, the NABH and the NAAC with Grade A.

KIMS Karad offers a total of 46 courses at UG and PG level in Medical, Dental, Physiotherapy, Nursing, and Biotechnology. It also offers doctoral and PG Diploma programmes. The college also offers a Super Speciality course in Neurosurgery and Plastics Surgery and also contributes to Post Doctoral Fellowships in 11 fields. Admission to both the UG and PG courses are online as well as offline.

The college provides fully equipped spacious classrooms, Lead Referral Laboratory is the first of its kind in Maharashtra and the KIMS diagnostic laboratory has been accredited by National Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL). The teaching hospital KH&MRC is an 1125- bedded multi-specialty care and is recognised by the NABH. The college also offers a 24/7 library facility both on and off-campus by the way of subscription to e-resources.

Admission Process:-

  • Candidates can apply for admission to diploma, UG, PG and doctoral programmes offered by KIMS Karad. The university offers admission to its courses based on candidates' performance in entrance examinations. Krishna Institute of Medical Science Karad admission to B.P.T. course is done based on the CET conducted by the university. The varsity accepts NEET scores for admission to M.B.B.S. and B.D.S. courses. As per the KIMS Karad admission process, candidates need to appear for the Krishna All India Entrance Test for admission to M.Sc. and M.P.T. courses. NEET PG and NEET MDS scores are considered for admission to M.D./M.S and M.D.S. programmes respectively. 
  • The university conducts All Indian Ph.D CET (AIPHDCET) for admission to Ph.D course. According to the KIMS Karad admission procedure, the final selection of candidates for admission to the Ph.D course is done after a personal interview. Candidates meeting the eligibility criteria of the desired course can visit the Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences admission portal to apply for admission. 

UG Admission
