About MGM College
The Manju Gita Mishra Group of Institution (MGM GROUP OF INSTITUTION), Patna is a private Institution established by Dr. Manju Gita Mishra under MGM Hospital and Research Institute in 1980. The Institute has been projected on a modular system on four pillars of health programmes in our country so as to develop:-
Medical Education and Human Resource Development by creating a Centre of Excellence for Medical and Nursing Education to generate Health manpower in Specialty, Super specialty in the field of Medicine, Nursing and allied profession
Excellence in Patient Care Services with State of the Art Technology.
Establish an open Referral Hospital to provide Specialized Health Care to the people of North India.
Central Research organization with Primary and Advanced Research Facilities.
The Institute shall look after the Regional needs and collaborate with other National and International agencies, Health Care Consultancy service in Regional and Central Health Schemes.
The Institute has the mandate to take up the responsibility to guide the Health Care programmes of North regions and also to co-ordinate with the Central Government plans and programmes of Health Care. Establishment of the College of Nursing in MGM GROUP OF INSTITUTION is a step in this direction.
In the year 2012 the school of Nursing was raised to the status of college of nursing, conducting B.Sc. Nursing (4 years) degree course. All the courses are recognised by Indian Nursing Council - New De1hi.The college is affiliated to Aryabhatta Knowledge University.

The students meet their clinical requirements in PATNA MEDICAL COLLEGE AND HOSPITAL situated in the Ashokrajpath Patna . AIM :
The main purpose of the under graduate degree in nursing is to provide an educational programme through which the graduates will be prepared to assume responsibility in the primary, secondary and tertiary care of people as professional nurses. They will be capable of teaching and supervising nursing students and giving health care in various settings and assist in the administration of nursing service and education.
OBJECTIVES :
After completion of B.Sc. Nursing Degree Programme, the graduates will be able to:
1. Assess health status and identify nursing needs; plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for patients/clients that contribute to health of individuals,fami1ies and communities.
2. Acquire knowledge and understanding of the scientific principles underlying the techniques and methods used in nursing.
3. Acquire knowledge and develop skills and attitude required for providing comprehensive care to the sick in the hospital and in the community.
4. Develop skills in nursing care at basic level.
5. Practice ethical values in their personal and professional life.
6. Participate in research activities and utilize research findings in improving nursing practice.

Director’s Message
MGM College of Nursing was started in the year 2012* with the fore sight and vision of to prepare professional nurses, in order to improve standards of nursing service through quality education. We have grown to be one among the largest nursing institution in the state and , under the guidance and support of Management of MGM. We offer programs starting from Auxiliary nurse midwife, GNM, B.Sc. Nursing. Our college has recognition from Bihar State Nursing Council and Indian Nursing council.
College is equipped with qualified and competent teachers, good physical infrastructure, Library and most importantly students get opportunity for clinical learning in parent teaching hospital with 400 beds.
Nursing students do have benefit of contributions from interdisciplinary teaching faculty and ample opportunity for extra- curricular activities as university has excellent facilities for the same. We are proud to say that all our alumni’s are on job in various hospitals and nursing institutes in Bihar state and also in surrounding states.

ANM Courses
ANM stands for Auxiliary Nursing Midwifery it is a diploma course which focus on the study of health care of various individuals. It also taught about how to take care of equipment, setting up of Operation Theater, provide medication timely to patient and maintain records and main focus is given towards the treatment of children, women & old age people.
Duration :-1 Year
Eligibility:- 10+2 (from Arts or Science stream)
GNM Courses
Mninimum and Maximum age for admission will be 17 and 35 Years. There is no age bar for ANM/LHV.
Minimum Education:
- 10+2 with English and must have obtained a minimum of 40% at the qualifying examination and English individually for any recognized board.
- 10+2 with English having 40% of marks in vocational ANM course from the school recognized by Indian Nursing council.

B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing
B.Sc. Nursing is undergraduate course in Nursing has been designed to completely train and qualify the students to deal with various aspects with utmost professionalism and care.
Duration: - 4 Years
Eligibility:-Candidate shall have passed 10+2 examination conducted by the respective state/central government authorities recognized as equivalent to 10+2 examination by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) with English as one of the subjects and Physics, Chemistry, Biology (P.C.B) subjects.
