The Ramaiah Medical College was established in 1979 with the vision of providing quality education to all. The College is affiliated to the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), Karnataka and is recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI).To meet the need of training the next generation of doctors, the Ramaiah medical college was set on campus in 1984. The Hospital accommodates 1,331 beds and offers all super specialties. MBBS and BPT Admission 2023

Ramaiah Medical College offers MBBS and BPT courses of 4.5 years duration each plus one year of compulsory rotating internship for MBBS and 6 months of compulsory rotating internship for BPT.

Ramaiah Medical College offers MD Program in 17 disciplines with a total intake capacity of 68 students and MS Program in 5 disciplines with intake capacity of 22 students. It offers PG Diploma course in 7 disciplines having a total capacity of 18 students. The duration of MD/MS course is for three years and the duration of PG Diploma Course is two years. Ramaiah Medical College offers full time/ part time Ph.D. Program in five disciplines. To be eligible for Ph.D. program, candidates should have passed MD/M.Sc. degree. MSc candidates should have 55% marks in the respective subject. For Ph.D. in Physiotherapy, candidates should have MPT Degree.

For admission to Ph.D. courses, candidates can apply twice a year to the Registrar, RGUHS, in April-May and October-November. After passing the criteria, candidates have to appear for an interview and make a presentation of the Ph.D. protocol with/without their guide before the committee.     Cut-Offs

    The College Cut-off is the minimum mark prescribed by the selection board for the admission of students. The merit list will be designed on these Cutoff scores. Aspirants who apply for the Institute need to clear the Cutoff for various courses.

    • Aspirants are required to obtain minimum qualifying percentile marks in NEET 2022 entrance examination in order to qualify for further admission process.
    • Candidates who belong to SC/ ST/ OBC are required to obtain marks equivalent to at least 40thpercentile to be considered for AIQ and state counselling process.
    • Aspirants who belong to the UR category are required to score equivalent to at least 50thpercentile.
