MVJ College of Engineering accepts an online mode of the application process. For BE admission, candidates need to qualify Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) or JEE Mains entrance examinations. Admission to MTech and MBA is based on valid Karnataka Postgraduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) or CMAT scores. Dr. M.V.Jayaraman Foundation Scholarship:
Scholarship will be considered for only one academic year. To avail the scholarship for the next academic year, the student needs to submit the renewal application form, along with the necessary documents, 2 weeks before the commencement of the odd semester.
The following terms need to be satisfied by the applicants:
To renew the scholarship, the candidates need to score CGPA as given below every semester-
a) Merit 1 - CGPA > 7.8
b) Merit 2 - CGPA > 7.0
c) Merit 3 - CGPA > 6.0

The college provides financial assistance to its meritorious students by Dr. M. V. Jayaraman Foundation. It offers scholarships based on the previous academic performance of the applicants.
