Introduction

The Netaji Subhash Engineering College (NSEC) has been set up, keeping in mind the ideals of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, whose contribution to the Indian Freedom Movement remains invaluable forever. Netaji had dreamt of vibrant, strong and powerful India, an India which would be independent and self reliant, not only politically, but also in the spheres of Education & Technology. He strongly believed that true independence can only stem from strong base in education and technology.

His vision is our beacon and to give a concrete shape to his vision, we have set up Netaji Subhash Engineering College. Admission Procedure

Netaji Subhash Engineering College was established in 1998. The college is affiliated to MAKAUT formerly known as West Bengal University of Technology (WBUT). At present, Netaji Subhash Engineering College admission offers B.Tech, BCA & BBA programs at UG level and M.Tech, MBA & MCA at PG level. Students can fill the application form by visiting the official website of NSEC. WBJEE/ JEE Main or any other equivalent entrance qualified candidates are eligible for admission to B.Tech course. BBA and BCA admission is offered on the basis of marks in 10+2. JECA (Joint Entrance for Computer Applications) qualified candidates are eligible for admission to MCA program. M.Tech program requires a valid score in GATE while for MBA, the students have to qualify in any National-Level Entrance Test. CAT/ MAT/ XAT or CMAT qualified candidates can also apply for admission to MBA programs. Netaji Subhash Engineering College Placements are Accredited with TCS, Wipro, Capgemini. Nearly in every academic year, 85-95% of eligible students got placed in On-campus & Off-Campus drives.

Diploma Admission 2023

Diploma course (Electrical Engineering) comes under the State Council for Technical Education and approved by AICTE. This course is run on the second shift (1:30 pm to 8:30 pm). It is a 3-year full-time course.

UG Admission - Eligibility, Fees, and Admission Criteria

The eligibility for B.Tech normal and lateral entry is a minimum of 45% marks in the previous examinations. 10+2 pass candidates are eligible to apply. Admission is granted on the basis of score in WBJEE/ JEE Main or any other equivalent National or State level entrance test followed by counseling session organized by the Central Selection Committee.

B.Tech
  • The candidates seeking B.Tech admission should have passed [10+2] exam conducted by the central board or any of its state board equivalents with a minimum of 50% of marks along with Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry/Biotechnology as mandatory subjects
  • For Lateral Entry admission, the candidate must have passed Diploma or B.Sc with at least 45% marks for open merit category
  • Candidates can also get an admission into the institution through the all India level engineering entrance test/ JEE Mains
  • The institution might conduct its own entrance test if applicable
BCA
  • The applicants seeking admission must have passed two year’s intermediate examination or a recognized plus two examination with an aggregate of at least 40% aggregate marks. For SC/ ST applicants, passing marks are sufficient for getting admission
  • In case of admission to a BCA course, the applicants with Mathematics at the intermediate level will get the first preference
BBA
  • The candidates seeking admission into this institution should have passed Pre-University/ Higher Secondary/ 10 + 2 or any other equivalent qualification

PG Admission 2023

Netaji Subhash Engineering College admission offers M.Tech programs in various specializations and also offers an MCA and MBA. They offer 4 different specializations in M.Tech with a total seat intake of 90 seats. The college offers M.Tech, MBA and MCA courses in various disciplines at PG level. A relevant UG degree is mandatory in order to become eligible for admission.

Candidates for admission to the first semester of the Master's Degree Programme shall be required to have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in the relevant field and obtain at least 50% marks in the same. GATE and JECA qualified candidates are eligible for admission to M.Tech and MCA programs respectively. CAT/ MAT/ XAT/ CMAT or any other National Level Test qualified candidates can apply for MBA programs.

Application Form 2023

The application process varies for different courses as the institution takes admissions based on the candidate's previous education scores and also through an entrance examination held by the university (If required). Candidates will be judged based on these two categories.
