About Us

Introduction

Orissa Engineering College in Bhubaneswar was the state’s first private Engineering college. In 1986, it was founded. Shri Kamini Kanta Patnaik’s vision resulted in the establishment of Orissa Engineering College, which houses the Odisha Electronics Control Library. It was dedicated by Biju Patnaik, Orissa’s then-chief minister. The alumni from the college operate all over the world. B.Tech, M.Tech, and MBA programs are available at the institute.

The college is affiliated to the Biju Patnaik University of Technology and is AICTE-approved. NBA has been awarded to three departments at the college: Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Electrical Engineering.   • Eligibility: Passed or appearing in 10+2 examination of CHSE,Odisha or equivalent with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST category) and Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the subjects from Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology/ Electronics / Computer Science / Information Technology/ Geology / Statistics. Admission Procedure

For B.Tech/ B.Tech Lateral:

  • After fulfilling the basic eligibility criteria, candidates need to secure qualifying marks in the JEE Mains exam. 
  • Based on the cut off set up by Orissa college of engineering, final selection will be based on JEE Mains scores and seats would be allotted in each round of the counselling. 

For M.Tech:

  • After fulfilling the basic eligibility criteria, candidates need to secure qualifying marks in the GATE/ OJEE exam.
  • Final selection would be made through GATE counselling. 

 For MBA:

After fulfilling the basic eligibility criteria, candidates need to secure qualifying marks in the CAT/ XAT/ MAT/ OJEE exam. 

How to apply for B.Tech?

  1. To apply for the B.tech course, candidates need to first register for the JEE mains exam. 
  2. Fill the JEE application form with all the necessary details and upload scanned Images of photograph and signature.
  3. Pay the online application fee by following the instructions.
  4. After successful payment, print the application form and keep it for future reference.

How to apply for M.Tech?

  1. To apply for the M.tech course, candidates need to first register for the GATE exam. 
  2. To fill the application form, enter the login details for creating a unique ID and password.
  3. Enter personal login with the unique ID and password and enter personal information, upload photograph, signature and other documents like eligibility certificate, category certificate (SC/ST/PwD) 
  4. Enter the GATE paper (subject) and choice of examination cities.
  5. Pay the application fee and submit it.
  6. After submission, print the filled application form for future reference. 

How to apply for MBA?

  1. To apply for an MBA course, candidates need to first register for any of the exams - MAT/XAT/CAT/OJEE.
