Rangpur Medical College (RpMC) is a public medical college located in Rangpur, Bangladesh. The college is founded in 1970 and affiliated with Rajshahi Medical University.
The College and Hospital campus extends over an area of 7,597 sq.meter. The hospital building is situated in the western side of college building. On the northern side of the hospital building there are students hostels, residences of Principal, Vice Principal, Director, Teachers, Doctors, Nurses and other auxiliary stuffs as well as Institute of Nursing & College Mosque. The Nuclear Medicine Centre and the Model Family Planning Clinic are situated on its southern side. The hostel for internees is situated at the eastern side of the main college building. Branch of Agrani Bank are situated in the campus.

BRIEF HISTORY
Rangpur medical college was established in the year 1970 with its 500 bedded teaching hospital. since its inception the college has been in steady progress. The first batch of 50 students was admitted in Rangpur Medical College in the year 1971 and was affiliated to Rajshahi University. Now the number of yearly entrants has been increased to one hundred and ninety-seven in each academic year including foreign students. Also the hospital accommodation raised to 1000 beds since 2021.
The medical College is running with several other affiliated teaching hospitals in addition to its own.These are infection desease hospital for tuberculosis and chest diseases ,three Thana Health Complexes in rural setting of Rangpur District. moreover ,the new inclusions since 1991 are Nuclear Medicine Center ,Coronary Care Unit ,Diarrhoeal Disease Control and Training Unit ,Neuromedicine ,Neurosurgery ,Paediatric Surgery ,Haematology ,Paediatric Hematology, Radiotheraphy . Physical Medicine, Urology ,Hepatology, Respiratory Medicine, Gastroenterology, Endocrine and Metabolic diseases and Nephrology Departments.
post Graduate Course
This institution have started post gradute course in DCH(Diploma in Child Health) in the year of 1998 after recognized by GMC (General Council ,British) in the year 1996. At present 10 post graduate courses in different Disciplines are running since 2005.Though the post graduate courses were started under the Rajshahi University but from 2010 all the post graduate courses are conducted by BSMMU same as all other medical colleges of bangladesh.
From the year of 2014, the post graduate courses start residensy program under BSMMU. These courses are MS(Surgery);MS(Obs.&Gynae); MD (Medicine) ;MD(Pediatrics). The College is also conducting courses on M.Phil(Anatomy),M.Phil(Physiology) and Diploma in Ophthalmology (DO), Anesthesiology (DA) and Forensic Medicine (DFM). From 2017 the College started Diploma in Cardiology Course. Also Diploma in Orthopedics & ENT courese are Running .
BDS Course
Form January 2012 the college started BDS course with 50 students.
