Admission Procedure

Particulars Admission Procedure
B.Tech Admission to B.Tech Programs, Students will be selected based on their ranks in SRMJEEE/ SRMAPET.
B.Arch For Admission to B.Arch courses, candidates should have a valid scorecard of NATA/JEE Main-Paper-II.
M.Tech Candidates should have a valid SRMJEEE (PG) score, or a Valid score in GATE & TANCET will be considered. In addition to the above, Automotive Hybrid Systems Engineering-Work experience in a related area is preferred.
MBA For admission to the MBA program, candidates should clear the University exam SRMJEEM or a valid score in CAT / MAT / XAT / CMAT / GMAT / TANCET.
Medical courses Admission in Medical courses, applicants should have a valid score card of NEET UG for UG courses, NEET PG for PG courses, and other medical programs. Candidates have to clear the SRMJEE.
Law Courses Admission is made based on fulfilling the requirement of minimum marks in the qualifying examination and upon the BCI Norms.
PhD For admission in Ph.D. programs, candidates have to clear the university Entrance Exam and Interview round conducted by the university admission authority.

The SRM University generally conducts its entrance exam known as SRMJEEE and SRMCAT for admission to engineering and management Courses respectively. Admission to SRM UG medical courses is based on marks scored in the NEET Exam. Admission to other UG and PG courses is usually merit-based. The application process for SRM University is both online and offline.

Steps to Apply:

Step 1: Visit the official website of SRM University.

Step 2: Register and log in with the provided email ID and password.

Step 3: Complete the application form and attach the necessary details such as a scanned copy of your signature, colored photograph, class X mark sheet & XII mark sheet (size not more than 500 kb).

Step 4: Successful submission of the application form will depend upon the payment of the application fee.

Step 5: For online registration or downloaded forms, candidates need to pay INR 1100 either through e-payment or DD.

Step 6: However, the cost for the offline application form obtained from the university office is INR 1160.

Step 7: Upon successful submission of the application form, students need to save their application number for future reference.

Note: The application fee for the SRM University application form can be paid both online and offline. Online payment can be done by using a valid debit and credit card. In case of offline payment, it can be done through a DD drawn in favor of SRMIST, Payable at Chennai.

Entrance Exam

SRM University conducts entrance exams for admission to its various courses. The admission tests are conducted separately for different branches of study.

JEEE

  • SRMJEEE Or SRM Joint Engineering Entrance Exam is conducted for admission to B.Tech. programs offered at SRM Group of Universities.
  • The minimum eligibility requirement for applying to SRMJEEE is 10+2 in the science stream with a minimum of 60% marks.

CAT

  • The University conducts SRMCAT for admission to the MBA program offered at the SRM University Campuses.
  • The minimum eligibility to apply for SRMCAT is a graduate degree in any stream with a minimum of 60% marks.

    Admission Procedure

    Below we have mentioned the SRM University Chennai admission procedure; you can check the complete details about the admission process, how to fill out the application form, entrance exam details and other essential details.

    B.Tech Admission to B.Tech Programs, Students will be selected based on their ranks in SRMJEEE/ SRMAPET.
    B.Arch For Admission to B.Arch courses, candidates should have a valid scorecard of NATA/JEE Main-Paper-II.
    M.Tech Candidates should have a valid SRMJEEE (PG) score, or a Valid score in GATE & TANCET will be considered. In addition to the above, Automotive Hybrid Systems Engineering-Work experience in a related area is preferred.
    MBA For admission to the MBA program, candidates should clear the University exam SRMJEEM or a valid score in CAT / MAT / XAT / CMAT / GMAT / TANCET.
    Medical courses Admission in Medical courses, applicants should have a valid score card of NEET UG for UG courses, NEET PG for PG courses, and other medical programs. Candidates have to clear the SRMJEE.
    Law Courses Admission is made based on fulfilling the requirement of minimum marks in the qualifying examination and upon the BCI Norms.
    PhD For admission in Ph.D. programs, candidates have to clear the university Entrance Exam and Interview round conducted by the university admission authority.

    The SRM University generally conducts its entrance exam known as SRMJEEE and SRMCAT for admission to engineering and management Courses respectively. Admission to SRM UG medical courses is based on marks scored in the NEET Exam. Admission to other UG and PG courses is usually merit-based. The application process for SRM University is both online and offline.

    Steps to Apply:

    Step 1: Visit the official website of SRM University.

    Step 2: Register and log in with the provided email ID and password.

    Step 3: Complete the application form and attach the necessary details such as a scanned copy of your signature, colored photograph, class X mark sheet & XII mark sheet (size not more than 500 kb).

    Step 4: Successful submission of the application form will depend upon the payment of the application fee.

    Step 5: For online registration or downloaded forms, candidates need to pay INR 1100 either through e-payment or DD.

    Step 6: However, the cost for the offline application form obtained from the university office is INR 1160.

    Step 7: Upon successful submission of the application form, students need to save their application number for future reference.

    Note: The application fee for the SRM University application form can be paid both online and offline. Online payment can be done by using a valid debit and credit card. In case of offline payment, it can be done through a DD drawn in favor of SRMIST, Payable at Chennai.

    Entrance Exam

    SRM University conducts entrance exams for admission to its various courses. The admission tests are conducted separately for different branches of study.

    JEEE

    • SRMJEEE Or SRM Joint Engineering Entrance Exam is conducted for admission to B.Tech. programs offered at SRM Group of Universities.
    • The minimum eligibility requirement for applying to SRMJEEE is 10+2 in the science stream with a minimum of 60% marks.

    CAT

    • The University conducts SRMCAT for admission to the MBA program offered at the SRM University Campuses.
    • The minimum eligibility to apply for SRMCAT is a graduate degree in any stream with a minimum of 60% marks.
