ABOUT US

Introduction

Kalyani as a satellite township under the long-term perspective plan of Calcutta Urban Agglomeration was the brainchild of our former Chief Minister Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy. A Master Plan designed for the development of this township emphasized the need for education and health infrastructures. The University of Kalyani was established in 1960 with the objective of fulfilling one aspect of this need. Initially a unitary university with the faculties of Arts, Science, Education, and Agriculture, it has grown to have 62 affiliated colleges under its aegis in the districts of Nadia and Murshidabad. Since its inception, the University has attracted students of the region and beyond, as can be seen in the glorious alumni list of the University, comprising of eminent scientists, scholars, artists, sportspersons, and people’s representatives. Admission Process 2023

The admission process of Kalyani University is inclusive of multiple steps such as registering on the official website or the website of the admission conducting body or exam. Followed by applications, students are required to go through the selection rounds. After the selection rounds are over, course-wise counselling is conducted again by the admission conducting body or a final mert list is released by the University with the names of the shortlisted applicants. All these steps are mentioned below in detail:

STEP 1: Kalyani University Application Process 2023

For the courses offered by Kalyani University where admission is merit-based, applications can be completed online at the official website. However, an outline of the complete Kalyani University admission process is given below for reference:

Step 1: Visit the university website – admission.klyuniv.ac.in.

Step 2: Go to the ‘Student Login’ section and create a new account using ‘New Online Admission’.

Step 3: Apply for the course/programme and fill in the basic details.

Step 4: Add school/university/institute marks and upload essential documents.

Step 5: Preview and make required changes.

Step 6: Confirm and pay the application fee.

  • Class 10 or Class 10 and 12 marksheet
  • UG and PG certificates (wherever required)
  • Passport-sized photograph
  • Signature

  • Caste certificate (if needed)

STEP 2: Kalyani University Entrance Exams, Counselling and Other Selection Rounds

Followed by applications, students are required to go through the selection rounds. After the selection rounds are over, course-wise counselling is conducted again by the admission conducting body or a final mert list is released by the University with the names of the shortlisted applicants.

  • For the courses offered by Kalyani University where admission is merit-based, merit lists are released using the scores of last qualifying exams
  • For other courses, such as BTech, MCA and MBA, where admissions are conducted by WBJEE, WB JECA and WB JEMAT, students have to go through specific counselling process followed by GD and PI (in case application)

STEP 3: Kalyani University Merit List, Admission Offers and Seat Confirmation

After the completion of the selection rounds, course-wise counselling is conducted again by the admission conducting body or a final mert list is released by the University with the names of the shortlisted applicants. Those interested in final admission can confirm their seat by make the admission fee payment.  

Cut-Offs

Kalyani University's cutoff for the year 2022 is not yet released but will be released soon. Admission to all programs is based on merit lists, which are provided by the university, followed by counseling. While undergraduate programs last three to four years, postgraduate programs last two years. Candidates will have to meet the cutoff criteria of the institute to be eligible for admission.

    Admission Process 2023

    The admission process of Kalyani University is inclusive of multiple steps such as registering on the official website or the website of the admission conducting body or exam. Followed by applications, students are required to go through the selection rounds. After the selection rounds are over, course-wise counselling is conducted again by the admission conducting body or a final mert list is released by the University with the names of the shortlisted applicants. All these steps are mentioned below in detail:

    STEP 1: Kalyani University Application Process 2023

    For the courses offered by Kalyani University where admission is merit-based, applications can be completed online at the official website. However, an outline of the complete Kalyani University admission process is given below for reference:

    Step 1: Visit the university website – admission.klyuniv.ac.in.

    Step 2: Go to the ‘Student Login’ section and create a new account using ‘New Online Admission’.

    Step 3: Apply for the course/programme and fill in the basic details.

    Step 4: Add school/university/institute marks and upload essential documents.

    Step 5: Preview and make required changes.

    Step 6: Confirm and pay the application fee.

    List of Documents Required

    • Class 10 or Class 10 and 12 marksheet
    • UG and PG certificates (wherever required)
    • Passport-sized photograph
    • Signature
    • Age proof
    • Caste certificate (if needed)
    • NOC

    STEP 2: Kalyani University Entrance Exams, Counselling and Other Selection Rounds

    Followed by applications, students are required to go through the selection rounds. After the selection rounds are over, course-wise counselling is conducted again by the admission conducting body or a final mert list is released by the University with the names of the shortlisted applicants.

    • For the courses offered by Kalyani University where admission is merit-based, merit lists are released using the scores of last qualifying exams
    • For other courses, such as BTech, MCA and MBA, where admissions are conducted by WBJEE, WB JECA and WB JEMAT, students have to go through specific counselling process followed by GD and PI (in case application)

    STEP 3: Kalyani University Merit List, Admission Offers and Seat Confirmation

    After the completion of the selection rounds, course-wise counselling is conducted again by the admission conducting body or a final mert list is released by the University with the names of the shortlisted applicants. Those interested in final admission can confirm their seat by make the admission fee payment.  

    Cut-Offs

    Kalyani University's cutoff for the year 2022 is not yet released but will be released soon. Admission to all programs is based on merit lists, which are provided by the university, followed by counseling. While undergraduate programs last three to four years, postgraduate programs last two years. Candidates will have to meet the cutoff criteria of the institute to be eligible for admission.
