is recognized by the Indian Nursing Council (INC), New Delhi and Karnataka State Nursing Council (KSNC), Bengaluru and Constituent college of Yenepoya (Deemed to be University), Mangaluru. The College offers General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM), Basic B.Sc (N), Post Basic B.Sc(N), M.Sc (N) programmes and Ph.D in Nursing under the Faculty of Nursing , Yenepoya (Deemed to be University). Preamble

The Ph.D. program was initiated at Yenepoya (Deemed to be University) in 2008 adapting the UGC regulations. The regulations governing the Ph.D. program at Yenepoya (Deemed to be University) have been amended from time to time in accordance with the gazetted amendements of the UGC.  The Yenepoya (Deemed to be University) calls for applications for enrollment of candidates for the Ph.D. program twice a year, July session and January session.

Vision

  • To inspire and nuture the Ph.D. scholars to become independent researchers.

Mission

  • The mission of the Ph.D. program is to empower the Ph.D. scholars by educating them on the fundamental concepts of research, biosafety, scientific writing, and research and publication ethics, which will make them independent researchers

Objectives

  • To extend support to the Ph.D. scholars by conducting workshops research related topics.
  • To conduct half yearly review by the Doctoral Advisory committee to assess the progress of the Ph.D. Scholars

ADMISSION PROCESS
Yenepoya (Deemed to be University) offers admission to undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programs. 

Admission to Programs through National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET)

Students seeking admission to undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Medical, Dental, Ayurveda and Homeopathy need to appear and qualify in the NEET-UG/ NEET-PG examinations. 
Students are admitted in compliance with the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS], Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, New Delhi guidelines for counseling.

Admission to Undergraduate and Postgraduate Programs not under NEET  
Admissions to the programs are based on merit in the qualifying examinations. 
Students seeking admission are required to visit the Admissions page on the University website

Admission to Ph.D Programs 

  • Application for the Ph.D program is made in the prescribed forms, which is made available at the office of the Registrar/ website
  • The admission of the candidates is through the Entrance Test and Interview. 
  • The Entrance Test is conducted at the Yenepoya (Deemed to be University) and the date is notified in advance. 
  • Candidates qualifying with a minimum of 50% in the entrance examinations are considered eligible for the interview. 
  • An Interview/ Viva voce is organized by the Ph.D Admission committee constituted by the Yenepoya (deemed to be University).
