What is CUSAT CAT? 

CUSAT CAT is the acronym of Cochin University of Science and Technology Common Admission Test. It is conducted for admission to various programmes viz. Engineering, Environmental Studies, Humanities, Law, Marine Sciences, Medical Sciences & Technology, Science, Social Sciences and Technology. The University also conducts Lateral Entry Test (LET) and Department Admission Test (DAT).  

Initially, CUSAT (Cochin University of Science and Technology) was constituted as the University of Cochin through an Act of the Kerala Government on July 10, 1971. In February 1986, the University of Cochin was re-constituted as Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT).

CUSAT CAT 2023 application form 

The Cochin University of Science and Technology has released the CUSAT CAT application form at the official website. Applicants are advised to fill the CUSAT CAT for at earliest. The application process of CUSAT CAT comprises registration, filling the application form, fee payment, uploading the required documents and final submission. Only eligible candidates will be able to apply for CUSAT 2023. Applicants have to fill the application form of CUSAT with correct details otherwise, applications are liable for rejection. CUSAT CAT application form will be available in online mode only. Applicants will not required to send hardcopy of filled CUSAT CAT application form 2023 to the exam authority. The last date to fil the CUSAT CAT 2023 application form is February 26. However, the last date to fill the CUSAT CAT application form with late fee is March 6.

Candidates must fulfill the eligibility criteria like age limit, educational qualification, percentage, etc. to apply for CUSAT CAT 2023. Marine Engineering	Secured 60% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in the Class 12 or equivalent from Kerala Board or any other recognized Board.  Studied in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English in the qualifying examination.  Secured minimum 50% in the English subject either in Class 10 or in Class 12 (applicable to all the categories).  Candidates have to submit physical fitness and eye fitness certificate as well. The certificate should be obtained from Medical Examiners and approved by DG Shipping.
Naval Architecture & Ship Building	Scored 60% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in the Class 12 examination or equivalent from Kerala Board or any other recognized Board.  Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics should be the compulsory subjects along with the other subjects in the qualifying examination.  Obtain 50% in the Mathematics subject.  Must have scored 50% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics when taken together.
Instrumentation & Technology	Obtained 60% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics when taken together in the qualifying examination.  Obtain 55% in the Mathematics subject.
Polymer Science & Engineering	Passed Class 12 with Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry as an optional subject or any other equivalent examination with 50% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics from a recognized Board.   Secured 50% in the Mathematics subject.

 CUSAT CAT Age Limit 

There is no stipulated age limit to apply for the CUSAT CAT 2023 exam. Candidates of any age group can fill the CUSAT CAT 2023 application form and subsequently participate in the counselling in they qualify the entrance.

CUSAT CAT 2023 rank list for UG will be released at the official website admissions.cusat.ac.in. The result of CUSAT CAT will be released after a few weeks of the examination. The details required to access the CUSAT result are the username and password. The CUSAT CAT 2023 result will carry various details like the candidate's name, roll number, marks obtained, rank secured, etc.  Shortlisted candidates will be called for further rounds to complete the admission procedure.   

CUSAT CAT counselling 2023

Those candidates who have got allotment shall pay the fees for the programme allotted to them by way of online payments on or before the stipulated last date for payment fees. 

  Note: If a candidate fails to pay fees before the stipulated last date of payment of an allotment, then all the options of that candidate will be cancelled and he/she will not be considered for subsequent allotments. However, he or she can participate in the spot admission, if any.
