What is NMIMS NPAT?

NPAT or NMIMS Programs After Twelfth is an entrance exam conducted for admission into courses including BBA, BSc (Finance), BSc (Economics), BCom (Hons.), B.A. (Hons) Liberal Arts and BBM. Different campuses of NMIMS situated at Mumbai, Shirpur, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Navi Mumbai, Indore and Dhule offers UG admission based on the NPAT scores. NMIMS NPAT Application Process 2023

Candidates can register for NPAT 2023 online by visiting the official website. No other mode of application submission is made available. The fee for the exam can be paid through an online payment gateway such as credit/debit/net banking. Check the space below for the NPAT registration process in brief:

NMIMS NPAT Eligibility Criteria 2023

Candidates aspiring for BBA admission through NPAT 2023 must fulfil the eligibility criteria for the NPAT exam. Candidates failing to meet the eligibility conditions will face rejection from the examination process. Space below mentions the eligibility criteria for NPAT 2023 prescribed by the Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS).

  • Candidates applying for the NPAT exam must have completed Class 12 or equivalent examination (inclusive of International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma in any stream)
  • Candidates can submit an IB diploma only if it is awarded by a recognised board. IB certificate holders are not eligible for the test.
  • Candidates passing the 10+2 or equivalent examination from open or distance learning (ODL) are also eligible to apply for the exam. In this case, the school should be recognised by the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS).
  • Candidates who have not been able to clear 10+2 either from CBSE or ICSE board or IB diploma in their first attempt are not eligible for the NPAT exam
  • Candidates must have obtained an aggregate of 60% in 10+2 or equivalent examination
  • Candidates holding IB Diploma will be eligible only if he/she has Mathematics/ Statistics at the standard level
  • Candidates having cleared either CBSE/ ICSE board exam need to mention the aggregate marks of all the subjects of Class 10 or equivalent examination. The marks of best of four or five subjects will not be considered.
  • Candidates exceeding the age of 25 years are not eligible to apply for the exam

NPAT 2023 Syllabus

SVKM's NMIMS had released the NPAT notification comprising three exam sections. Each section has several topics, these topics are considered while designing the NPAT question paper. Candidates need to cover all topics that could possibly come under the following sections:

  1. Quantitative and Numerical Ability
  2. Reasoning and General Intelligence
  3. Proficiency in the English Language

NPAT Preparation Tips 2023

Every year more than 80,000 candidates appear for the NMIMS NPAT exam. These candidates compete for 3,000+ seats; this brings out the admission rate of less than four per cent. Preparing well for the exam becomes crucial to compete alongside 80,0000+ test takers. Here are some of the NPAT preparation tips to help ace candidates ace the exam:

  • Before starting the actual preparation, candidates must get aware of the exam pattern and syllabus.
  • Cover topics from one section at a time.
  • Proficiency in the English Language is considered the easiest among all three sections, experts recommend to cover this section in the last.
  • Jot down the formulas for the Quantitative and Numerical Ability section and read the same daily, irrespective of the topics to be covered on a particular day.
  • Solve SAT question papers for the relevant sections, as the difficulty standards and type of questions are on similar lines. 
  • Practise NPAT mock tests from at least 10 different sources to get a fair understanding of the type of questions.
  • Work on the speed, as each question must be solved in less than 50 seconds to complete all questions on time.

NPAT 2023 Admit Card

SVKMs NMIMS releases the NPAT admit card immediately after the applicant schedules the exam. Candidates can download the admit card as soon as it is generated after the NPAT slot booking. Alternatively, one can visit the official website (nmimsnpat.in) anytime before the exam date to download the NPAT 2023 admit card. Candidates can view the exam date, exam city and complete address of the test centre on the admit card. Candidates appearing for the exam need to carry a hard copy of the NPAT admit card at the exam centre. On failing to carry the admit card, candidates will face denial in entry to the NPAT exam centre. On-duty staff at the exam centre verifies the details along with the photograph on the admit card with the candidate. In addition to the admit card, candidates need to carry an original as well as a photocopy of government-approved ID proof on the exam day.

NMIMS NPAT Results 2023

SVKM's NMIMS has released the NPAT 2023 results over the institute's official login website (apply.nmims.edu). Candidates have to log in to check the NMIMS NPAT results. The result is released in the form of a merit list. Candidates can access the merit list of the NPAT exam using their email ID and password.

NPAT 2023 Merit List

Candidates who qualify the NPAT exam get their names included in the NPAT merit list. The merit list of candidates will be prepared based on the marks obtained by them in NMIMS-NPAT 2023. The selection of candidates is done based on merit and preferences given by candidates for programs and campus.

NMIMS NPAT 2023 Counselling

Counselling of NPAT-based admissions is an online process that starts with the release of the merit list. Candidates selected as per the NPAT merit list will receive an offer letter from the participating institute. Based on the NPAT admission offer, candidates must fill out the admission form and the relevant documents. NMIMS will release a fee deposit notice for the selected candidates on verification of the documents along with the RTGS/NEFT details. Candidates interested in NMIMS admission must pay the fee before the stipulated date.
