BAMS Duration & Curriculum
The whole BAMS course of 5 years and 6 months is divided into three sections I Profession, II Profession and III Profession. The course is completed in just 4.5 years but additional 1 year should be taken for internship and it is a compulsory part for degree.
Profession I, II, III are called professional courses under Professional (1) Ayurvedic as Modern Anatomy, physiology, Ayurvedic Classic Text and sanskrit language will be taught. Profession (2) Ayurvedic Classic Text, Social and preventive Medicine, Ayurvedic Toxicology, pharmacology and pharmaceutics, Diagnostic and clinical methods. Profession (3) Ayurvedic as well as modern aspect of general medicine, gynecology and obstetrics, general surgery, pediatrics, ENT, ophthalmology, Panchakarma, Ayurvedic Classic Texts. Also, one rotatory internship in clinical department is compulsory.
