Welcome to Sri Narayani College of Nursing
With the divine blessings of the Holy incarnation His holiness Sri Sakthi Amma Sri Narayani College of Nursing was established and started Basic B.Sc(N) on November 13th 2006 at Sri Narayani Hospital & Research Centre, Thirumalaikodi, Vellore and later moved on to the new premises at Sekanoor in 2010 . Sri Narayani College of Nursing is affiliated to Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai, approved by the Indian Nursing Council (INC), New Delhi, Tamil Nadu Nurses & Midwives Council and recognized by state board. (GNM) and started on 2008, In Master degree in Nursing (M.Sc(N) and Post Basic B.Sc(N) was started on 2012.

COURSE
M.Sc. Nursing – 2 years
The candidates should have Passed B.Sc. Nursing Degree of The Tamilnadu Dr. MGR Medical University,Chennai or any other University approved as equivalent there to. Should have registered with the State Registration Council of Nursing and Midwifery.
Basic B.Sc. Nursing 4 Years
- Candidates belonging to all categories eligible for admission to the B.Sc., Degree course in Nursing (Basic) should have passed the qualifying examinations. (Academic Stream) after a period of 12 years of study with the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
- Every candidate, before admission, should submit a medical fitness certificate, from an authorized medical officer stating that the candidate is physically fit to undergo this course, to the Principal of the institution.
- The minimum educational requirements shall be passing of Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination (12 years course) (Or) Senior School Certificate Examination (10+2), pre-degree Examinations (10+2) (Or) An equivalent study with 12 years schooling from a recognized Board or University with Science (Physics, Chemistry and English, Biology) with minimum 40% aggregate (PCBE); for SC/ST candidates – the minimum percentage of marks will be 35%.
- The candidate should be complete 17 year on or before 31st December of the year.
Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing – 2 Years
Candidates belonging to all categories will be eligible for admission to the course of Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing.
- Should have qualified in Diploma in Nursing and be a Registered Nurse and Midwife in the Tamil Nadu Nursing Council or any other State Nursing Council.
- After GNM with the Registration certificate from the State Nursing Council, the candidate will be permitted to join in Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing without any work experience.
- If the registration certificate cannot be obtained immediately, the original evidence for registration in the form of receipt or any other authenticated document from the office of the State Nursing Council will be acceptable in lieu of the Registration Certificate.
Eligible for admission to this course, a candidate should have
- Passed the Higher Secondary or Senior Secondary or Intermediate or 10+2 or an equivalent examination recognized by the University for this purpose.
- Should have obtained a certificate in General Nursing and Midwifery and registered as R.N.R.M. with the State Nurses’ Registration Council.
- Every candidate before admission to this course shall submit to the Principal of the institution a certificate of Medical Fitness from an authorized Medical Officer that the candidate is physically fit to undergo this Academic Programme.
Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery – 3 years & 6 months
- A candidate should have passed 10 + 2 with 40 % in Science group or any other subjects also (SC/ST 35%) Minimum and maximum age for admission will be 17 and 35 years respectively.
- Candidate before admission should submit a medical fitness certificate.
